CURRENT PROMO: 33% OFF. ENDS SOON! METALS AND MATERIALS WEIGHT CALCULATOR is designed with the materials trade industry in mind, but also useful in a wide range of applications commonly employed by students, engineers, architects, builders and material traders.

Its main purpose is to allow the user to compute the single and total weight of common sections, while also providing useful information such as Area, Inertias and Radius of Gyration for them.

The tool contains two databases that simplifies the calculations. One is a material unit weight database, the other contains a set of Gauge Standards Worldwide.

Metals & Materials, like the application it derives from, Cross Sections Calculator, accepts inputting any dimension / weight in units independent of each other. For example, width can be entered in Feet, while height in inches or millimeters and length in yards or meters.

Any output can be displayed in any of several units. A single tap on unit displayed in the expandable results list cycles through the available units for that output.

All Input / Output units are stored b/w session and can be reset from the info window.

Both Imperial and Metric systems are supported and can be mixed at will in both for both input & output, ALL CONVERSION IS PROPERLY HANDLED IN THE BACKGROUND.

You should consider Cross Sections Calculator over Metals & Materials, the small price differential between the two gives you A LOT MORE. More sections (23 total), more output (21 properties, including Volume, Surface Area, many cross sectional mechanical properties), user editable Weight Database & sortable Materials & Gauge databases!
